The layers are wrapped up with a 100% organic cotton and wool cover blend on the top and 100% organic cotton on the side. Also, the cover’s bottom is made of 1% polyester, and that’s the only artificial part of the product’s construction. The cover contributes to the overall bed’s softness, and blended wool helps in regulating the temperature by reducing the heat absorption and by wicking any moisture. Also, Spindle is highly breathable and acts as a fire barrier that adds additional protection.

Consider the Firmness

Upon delivery, you will get three layers of latex which can be either medium or firm. The company provides instructions on which layers you need to obtain to get the right level of firmness. Each layer is outside the cover and by following the instruction you will successfully put all pieces together.

The best way to choose the right firmness is by determining your BMI. In other words, the higher your body mass index is, the firmer the bed should be.

The soft setting is obtained by putting together three layers of medium firmness. As it’s the case with many soft alternatives, this one is also suitable for side sleepers as it relieves any pressure on the shoulders. You will also get that comfortable feeling of sinking into the bed for ultimate relaxation.

In case you want a medium setting, then you should put two medium-firm layers on top and one firm as a foundation. This setting offers the right amount of support, while still being soft to the touch. It is the most common option, chosen by customers. It can be easily adapted to back, stomach and side sleepers.

The firm option is constructed of a medium-firm top layer and two firm layers as the base. This setting, in general, is a favorable option for heavier individuals that need more prominent support in their back.

Finally, the extra firm option is obtained by combining three firm layers. This setting is suitable for people that have a BMI of 26-31. Anything above that is supposed that will not give you the desired support.
