Eve
- You want an all-foam feeling – Eve is an all-foam, and as such it offers excellent contouring. If you are one of those sleepers who appreciate the soft memory foam feeling, then this one is for you. The foam will provide you with a pleasant, plush feeling without making you feel like you are stuck with it. You will be able to sink into it, but you will still get the required support.
- You want minimal off-gassing – Off-gassing can be an issue for people who are sensitive to unpleasant odors. However, the company has improved its manufacturing process, and the consequence is a reduction in the smell upon unboxing. - You want higher responsiveness and bounciness – If you like the traditional feeling of innersprings, then you will probably like this hybrid. It’s very close to a classic spring bed, due to it’s integrated microcoils. They enable it to respond to any pressure fast compared to other similar ones. Also, the latex in the top layer will contribute a lot to the responsiveness and bounciness.
- You want excellent edge support – Another perk of being a hybrid is the better edge support, compared to all-foams. Its construction that incorporates microcoils and high-density foam will offer lower compression when sitting near the sides. Also, it has an additional foam layer surrounding the coils that adds even more support.
Comparing the Foundation (Materials/Layers)
We are reviewing a hybrid and an all-foam, so there is a noticeable difference in their structure. For that purpose, we are going to break down each construction, and we will explain each layer separately. You’ll be able to understand each layer’s benefits better.
Eve
This mattress exhibits a unique exterior. It’s covered with a white and yellow quilt that’s made of 100% polyester. Due to its colorful look, it may be challenging to fit everybody’s needs. However, the cover is of high-quality, it’s very elastic, and because of the stronger material used as side panels, it’s durable. Also, it is super breathable, and it contributes to the overall temperature regulation. Underneath the cover, there are three foam layers, and together they add to an overall height of 24 cm.
- Top Layer – Most of the comfort of the bed comes from this layer which is made of 4 cm thick memory foam. Even though it’s constructed of memory foam, it will contribute to its coolness, and its job is to providing bounciness. Because it has a soft feeling, it will effectively relieve the pressure and will nicely conform to your body.
- Middle Layer – Below the foam is the polyurethane layer. It’s of 3.5 cm height, and mainly it’s in charge of providing excellent support to your body. The memory foam on top will allow you to sink into it, but once you get in touch with the polyurethane foam, you’ll receive a nice dose of support that will prevent you from feeling like you are stuck. Also, the layer provides additional pressure relief.
- Foundation – The last layer is the thickest one, and it is 16.5 cm in height, made of very dense foam. Same as the middle layer, this one is also in charge of providing a great deal of support. Also, it adds to the durability and stability, and it’s responsible for keeping the mattress’s solid shape.
Simba
Simba is a hybrid, and as such, it exhibits a bit different construction than the other bed. On the outside, it is covered with a minimalistic cover, made of hundred percent polyester. With its simple design it can capture the attention of many customers, and on top of that, it can provide them with a fantastic deal of breathability. The cover is elastic, and it has a nice plush feeling that will keep you relaxed throughout the night. Underneath the cover, there is a structure of 4 layers which add to the mattress’s height of 25 cm.
- Top Layer – The upper layer is 5 cm thick, and it’s made of latex. By being the comfort layer, you can expect that much of the comfort and pressure relief will come from the latex. Also, it will contribute to the overall bounciness and will help in the temperature regulation, so that you don’t sleep too warm at night.
- Second Layer – This layer is the secret to Simba’s contouring ability. It’s made of integrated microcoils that will perfectly contour your body shape and will add an extra degree of bounciness and responsiveness. Also, they will contribute to a higher airflow within the layers, enhancing the overall breathability.
- Third Layer – Under the microcoils, there is a 3 cm thick memory foam layer. It provides the support, and it also acts as the transition layer that’s responsible for balancing the supporting and the contouring effects of foundation and second layer.
- Base Layer – The last base is 15cm, and it’s the primary source of support. It’s made of high-density memory foam that adds to the bed’s stability and durability. It will also enable the bed to keep its original shape for a more extended period.
The Firmness

The firmness is an important feature and can be differently experienced by different individuals. That’s because the firmness adapts to your body shape and sleeping positions, and as such it offers a unique feeling to everybody. The classic all-foams have always performed poorly on any heat retention tests. There is less airflow within the foam layers, and therefore, more heat is retained that makes you feel sweaty. But, this mattress is made of high-quality materials, and it has a clever construction of the layers that enable less heat to be trapped inside. Also, the thin covers add a lot to its breathability that will keep you comfortable, maintaining the cool.
Simba
This mattress’s cooling feature is one of its fortes. Because it’s a hybrid, it’s capable of releasing the heat, enabling you to sleep cool. The microcoils have a significant role in the overall temperature regulation, allowing the air to pass freely within the layers. Also, the cover which is made of 100% polyester is highly breathable and balances the temperature very easy.
Edge Support
Having proper edge support is essential if you sleep near your bed’s sides. Also, when sitting on the edges, you’d probably want excellent stability and support for your posture. These products differ in their overall edge support, but we have no doubts that they will be able to satisfy many customers.
Eve
This mattress has slightly lower support as a consequence of its all-foam construction. It has excellent surface support, but if you sit near the edges, there is a significant compression. That’s quite common and regular occurrence for an all-foam. However, when you lie on the mattress, you won’t roll in or towards the center, or fall out of it. Therefore, if edge support is not your number one priority when looking for a new mattress, you should give this one a try.
Simba
The edge support of this particular bed is better than the other one. That’s because it’s a hybrid and the microcoils have an excellent ability to keep you supported. The compression is still there when you are sitting on the edges, but is noticeably lower compared to other similar mattresses.
