Ecosa is definitely one of the mattresses that surprised us with several impressive features (which will mention in our review, below). But first, you should know, this may be the universal bed, so many companies tried to create!
It can change firmness as you need it, and it has a beautiful inner structure that promotes flexibility and close-to-perfect motion transfer. Furthermore, the surface is ideal for spine support and pressure relief, and it has anti-allergen properties.

You Will Be Really Interested In Ecosa Mattress If
- You share the bed with a restless partner – The surface is bouncy but provides perfect motion isolation. As a result, you can be jumping up and down on your side of the bed, and your partner won’t be disturbed.
- You need a surface that’s customizable to your needs – It’s absolutely amazing how Ecosa can change firmness to fit everyone’s needs. We’ll talk about this innovative system below, so make sure to continue reading.
- Firmness & back support are on your list – The mattress is specially created to provide sinkage, contouring, and back support as needed.
- Natural fibers are important to you – While it may not be 100% designed with natural materials, Ecosa is a combination of natural latex, gel memory foam, and other types of foam. Each layer has its own purpose but also works with the others in the mattress.
- Sleeping hot is something you don’t want – Yes, we all know it: foams sleep hot! But, due to Ecosa’s special core infused with gel, the air is able to move through all the layers and keep things cool.
- You like a bouncy surface – Many buyers worry that an all-foam mattress will not be bouncy enough for various bedroom activities. But it’s in no way a problem for Ecosa, whose surface is pretty bouncy, even without the coils.
You Will Not Be Interested In Ecosa Bed If
- The soft, slow-response of memory foam is your favorite – In this case, you should go on with your passion for viscoelastic material as Ecosa is not at all a slow surface.
- You want coils in your snooze surface – Thir beds are all-foam so no coils, of any kind, will be found inside. However, the layers are bouncy so you may not even feel the lack of coils.
- The fact that it comes in a box bothers you – If the idea of a good bed includes seven people carrying up or down the stairs, Ecosa may not be the best choice for you. The brand features amazing characteristics, and if the delivery method doesn’t inspire durability, you should check some online reviews.
Materials/Layers
The inner structure is made of a powerful combination that features three layers:
- 100% Natural Latex – Firm, but also comfy, the top layer brings everything natural latex has to offer. An anti-allergenic, supportive, and bouncy surface that is capable of support when and where you need it. Furthermore, this layer is designed with pin-core holes to allow the air to circulate and keep the mattress cool at night.
- Ecosa™ G-7 Memory Foam – Serving as a transition layer, this designer memory foam provides amazing stabilization and weight distribution to the entire surface. The foam is infused with gel particles that open the cell structure, absorb heat from the top layer, and keep things cool. Finally, this foam is beneficial for people who need good pressure points handling, as it stops the top layer from sinking and brings the right type of alignment to the surface.
- Breathable Support Foam – It is shaped like a bar of chocolate and features firm, a breathable foam that absorbs motion and keeps everything stable. It’s also the thickest of the three sheets of foam and provides the bed with durability.
But Ecosa didn’t stop with just making the inner-structure great! They also worked on the layers that cover the foams. As a result, there are three other layers we should consider:
- The Inner Cover – This is the soft, breathable fabric that comes in direct contact with the foams. Designed with German micro-filament fabric, this layer is 100% waterproof and anti-allergenic, protecting the foam inside from 99% of dust mites.
- Fire Resistant Barrier – To make sure your home and family are safe, Ecosa added another layer (over the inner cover) that is self-extinguishing. This is a woven silica layer, that’s right under the cover and will melt, in the case of a fire.
- The Cover – Finally, the sheet of fabric you get in direct touch with is breathable, soft, and very beautiful. The top is white, but the side panels are charcoal grey, to protect the mattress from dirt. The cover is removable and can be washed in the machine.
Pick Your Custom Firmness
Ecosa comes with an innovative system that allows you to decide the level of firmness without changing the mattress’s structure. The secret stands in the order of the layers. So, each level can be obtained with the same types of foam:
To get the medium feeling, all you have to do is flip over the first two layers. This way, the layer of latex will be the one doing the transition, and the viscoelastic one will be on top.
The feel is indeed softer, but the surface is still bouncy. However, there will be more contouring and sinkage than with the latex layer on top, which makes this combination better fitted for side sleepers.
This is the standard combination, with the latex layer on top. It’s also the version most buyers prefer because it’s more flexible and gives good back support for side sleepers who don’t have special needs and back sleepers.
Finally, to get the firm Ecosa, all you have to do is place the bottom layer of foam on top. Still, you should make sure to get the chocolate-like side at the bottom so that you won’t feel the shapes under the cover. On this side, the Ecosa is better suited for stomach sleepers and people who like it a bit more firm.
Notes on Temperature (Sleeping Cool)
Regardless of which layers you want on top, Ecosa will keep you cool during the night. This is possible because each of the three sheets of foam is equipped with the necessary tools to wick heat away.
First, the latex layer is designed with pin-core holes, then the memory foam is infused with cooling gel, and finally, the base is specially shaped to allow air to flow in and out. Not to mention, when reviewed we found the cover to be breathable, and the other two layers beneath the cover don’t retain heat.
Edge Support
It may not have coils, but the Ecosa is well-designed and offers comfort close to the edges. However, if you sit on it, you will notice some compression, but this is normal given that there’s no reinforcement. Even more, the compression is less noticeable than with many other high-quality brands in the same category.
